This is a paid freelance, remote position.

If you’re an experienced writer with a finger on the pulse of the Comics world, CBR wants you to join its award-winning writing team! CBR is the oldest and most respected comic book culture website in the world. It is the internet’s first and final stop for nerd culture, news, commentary and community. 

Our editorial team is looking for writers to create honest, informative, and engaging Movie and TV reviews that our discerning audience demands, with the eye-catching aesthetic they crave. The selected candidate will have tremendous career growth and internal development opportunities within the organization.

What we are looking for:

Responsibilities:

  • Write articles in CBR's house style (following the requisite training)
    • This will include: fact-checking, formatting, linking, and image sourcing
  • Keep up to date with new shows and movies, watching new episodes or films as soon as they release (or earlier) in order to have review ready for embargo/release
  • Reviews will be assigned based on each writer’s expertise and CBR’s needs
  • Accept and apply any/all feedback received by the editorial team
  • Communicate openly and actively with the editorial team
