The KinderCare Learning Companies Accounting team is looking for a great Accounting Specialist to help implement processes and support a fast-paced environment. This 6 month assignment is a great opportunity for anyone pursuing a degree in Accounting! This position will include a rotation through the various aspects of accounting and payroll, including:
- Analyzing costs for proper GAAP treatment and company capitalization policies
- Assist in preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, & P&L/Balance Sheet Analysis
- Analysis of basic Accounts Receivable and Payment transactions and records
- Other projects, as needed in Payroll and other Accounting FunctionsQualifications
- College student in Accounting program preferred.
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
- Proactive problem solver and troubleshooter.
- Detail-oriented.
- Eager to learn and a quick learner
- Requires logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Requires contact with others – virtual, by phone and face-to-face in a hybrid work environment (remote position, hybrid preferred but not required).
- The ability to work and interact in a group or team.
- 15 – 20 hours a week.
