You will also be required to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items around the warehouse. Depending on the specific location, you may need to navigate stairs and work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine. The work environment at an Amazon Delivery Station is dynamic, with moving machines such as order pickers, stand-up forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts. You will experience varying temperatures, which can range from 60°F to over 90°F in certain areas, especially during hot days in the truck yard or inside trailers. The noise level can be high, and hearing protection is provided if necessary. The dress code is relaxed, but safety is paramount, requiring comfortable, closed-toe shoes, and in some cases, protective safety footwear. Amazon offers a variety of shifts to accommodate different lifestyles, including full-time, reduced-time, and part-time options, with the possibility of working additional hours. You can choose from overnight, early morning, day, evening, and weekend shifts, and even have the option of four-day workweeks with three-day weekends.
