Qualifications
High School diploma required, at least 6 months previous cash handling experience required, sports enthusiast, mathematically inclined, good handwriting skills, excellent customer service and communication skills, able to work any day and any shift, outgoing and energetic, able to read and interpret documents, able to write routine reports and correspondence, able to speak effectively before groups, able to calculate figures and amounts, able to apply common sense understanding, able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables, responsible for fostering a fun environment, responsible for being gracious to all guests and co-workers, able to promote a positive influence in the community, enthusiastically supports superior customer service, maintains a professional work environment, able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time, able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor, able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights, able to respond calmly and make rational decisions, able to work independently, able to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed, able to respond to visual and aural cues, licensed by the Indiana Gaming Commission and the Indiana Horse Racing Commission, access to CMS, requires access to the gaming floor.

Requirements
Complies with Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations, greets customers, inputs betting information, prints tickets, maintains bank, verifies winning tickets, handles customer concerns, explains wagering information, maintains betting boards, understands pari-mutuel wagering, provides customers with scratches and results, cash/sell vouchers, meets attendance guidelines, and performs duties as assigned.
- Complies with Indiana Gaming Commission Regulations, approved internal controls, as well as company policies
- Greets customers; inputs betting information into computer; prints ticket; accepts money and gives ticket and change to customers
- Accurately maintains bank
- Verifies winning tickets
- Handles and solves any concerns and questions by customers
- Explains wagering information when needed
- Maintains and updates Betting Boards or Televisions for customers to view
- Understands pari-mutuel wagering including reading tickets sold, tote keyboard and basic racing terminology
- Provide customers with a list of scratches for tracks or results for races
- Cash/sell vouchers
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
- Cash/Cancel tickets as necessary
- Performs the duties as assigned of a Sportsbook Writer and Mutuel Teller
