Responsibilities For R&D Engineer Hardware

  • Design wireline high-speed analog mixed-signal circuitry for data center connectivity
  • Research and apply cutting edge design for analog/mixed-signal integrated circuits
  • Research novel circuit techniques for maximum speed and performance
  • Design, develop, modify and evaluate electronic parts and integrated circuitry
  • Conduct experimental tests and evaluate results
  • Characterize and debug analog designs for manufacturability
  • Create circuit models for package and pc board requirements
  • Develop circuit test plans
  • Work on system level architectural design of broadband communication SoCs

Requirements For R&D Engineer Hardware

  • Masters degree and 6+ years of related experience or PhD and 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience in analog circuit design
  • Knowledge of CMOS device operating regions & characteristics
  • Understanding of common circuit topologies used in CMOS analog circuits
  • Expertise in analog circuit design trade-offs and parameters
  • Knowledge of signal processing in analog filters and converters
  • Proficiency with simulation tools, custom layout tools and lab equipment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time and task management skills
