- Reviewing written content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and style errors
- Editing and proofreading documents, including but not limited to articles, reports, marketing materials, and correspondence
- Providing constructive feedback to writers to enhance clarity and coherence
- Collaborating with the content team to maintain consistency in tone and messaging
- Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and syntax
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for errors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Prior experience in proofreading or editing is preferred
- Bachelor degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
Experience: Previous experience in a proofreading or editing role is advantageous but not mandatory. We welcome candidates with a passion for language and a commitment to quality.
Working Hours: This is a full-time position, with standard office hours. However, flexibility may be required to meet project deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with style guides such as AP, Chicago, or MLA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools
- Adaptability to learn and adhere to company-specific guidelines
