Category Manager Lead

As a category manager for data in our Supplier Data and Systems Management department, data is at the heart of everything we do, and you'll be instrumental in harnessing this vital resource to propel our enterprise forward. You'll analyze market and consumer data to guide pivotal decision-making processes critical to the business’s success. In this role, you’ll measure and assess data-driven risks to support all business units across the enterprise, ensuring that our strategies are cohesive and aligned with our overarching goals. You’ll negotiate contracts, SLAs, and pricing, collaborating closely with our Legal team and various business units to develop innovative supplier strategies. Additionally, you’ll lead complex projects, persuade others to embrace new directions and ideas, and make a tangible impact across the entire organization.

Preferred skills
  • Experience with supplier and contract management (ideally direct category management experience)
  • Experience in negotiating contracts, statement of work, and service level agreements
  • Experience influencing leadership decisions, strong prioritization skills, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and have strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction, analyze data, draw insights, and effectively communicate findings through storytelling.
  • Advanced computer and analytical skills including Microsoft Office with demonstrated skills in Excel – including the ability to create, manipulate, and formulate spreadsheets – including v-look-up, tables, charts and graphing

Must-have qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent or higher and a minimum of seven years of experience in contract administration and maintaining vendor relationships or related work experience.
  • {OR} Bachelor's degree or higher and a minimum of four years of experience in contract administration and maintaining vendor relationships or related work experience.
