Job Description AECOM is hiring an VP, Design Delivery Director to provide leadership throughout the Pacific West. This is a career-defining opportunity for a driven professional to play an instrumental role in the continued growth of our water-related service offerings across the region. Specifically, you will have oversight of design delivery in the Division including ownership of the quality control program, quality control review, technical staff development, identification and implementation of design standards, and act as liaison with enterprise capabilities (EC) design resources group (with a focus on India). Responsibilities may include: Using your strong client-focus and developed networks, you will lead our multi-disciplinary team to deliver timely, innovative and high-quality project outputs. You will be a strong leader, fostering the growth and development of our team, which comprises of a combination of new talent and experienced professionals, whilst focusing on technical excellence, business development, project management and client service satisfaction. Supports, oversees and coordinates engineering production activities for an operating unit. Makes decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative. Initiates and maintains contact with senior-level management within the company and is skilled in dispute resolution and negotiation of critical issues. At this level, the individual will have demonstrated understanding of project delivery requirements, creativity, foresight, working with a multi-disciplinary team to meet project goals and deliver high quality technical excellence. Demonstrates mature judgment in anticipating and solving both routine and unusual operations problems, determining operational objectives and requirements, organizing programs and projects, and developing standards and guides for diverse engineering activities. Supervision received is essentially administrative with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and 12+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineering License in California or the ability to gain one within 6 months. Master’s degree in engineering or a related field 20+ years of water/wastewater engineering experience 10+ years of project management experience 5+ years of technical business development activities Additional Information Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
