Job Responsibilities
- Engage in companionship and conversation, creating a sense of belonging and connection with seniors.
- Assist with daily tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, promoting independence and comfort.
- Offer personalized support with grooming and bathing, enhancing the overall quality of life for seniors.
- Provide assistance with toileting and incontinence issues, ensuring dignity and respect for all clients.
- Deliver specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease, utilizing techniques to create a safe and nurturing environment.
- Remind clients about medication and appointments, promoting adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Offer safety assistance, helping seniors navigate their living spaces with confidence.
- Transport clients for errands and appointments, improving access to essential services.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years old, demonstrating maturity and responsibility.
- Flexibility is key; must be able to work varied schedules, with weekend availability strongly preferred for full-time positions.
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing circumstances with ease.
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, driving success in this role.
- Capacity to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect.
- Effective communication skills, enabling friendly and congenial interactions with clients.
- Reliable transportation, including a valid driver's license and proof of insurance (preferably).
- Completion of a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen, ensuring a safe working environment.
